I am happy and honoured to announce here that I am the new brand ambassador for home-grown 24-hour convenience store Cheers. It’s a great honour, and I wanna tell you all about their anniversary celebrations. (Ok, do NOT stop reading here coz you think i’m paid to do this and it’s just some boring advertisement. coz it’s NOT. it’s going to be F-uh-uh-uh-N. Erm, fun.)

用词当不当

名词、动词、形容词，这些都是传统的词汇种类。

最近在反复思考着一种另类的词汇分类方法：当局者词和旁观者词。

当局者词就是比较适合当局者用于自己的词汇。比如：努力。

最近，X对我说，“看得出Y是一个很努力做事的人。”乍听之下，我也点头同意。后来想一想，X怎么知道Y很努力？因为X看见Y花很多时间去做一件事？那X也只能断定Y是一个很花时间做事的人，并不代表Y很努力啊。又或者，X看见Y很花心思去做事？心思，看得见吗？

根据汉语词典，努力的意思是“尽量将力量使出来”。只有自己知道，个人的“量”有多少，也只有自己知道，到什么程度才算“尽量”。试想想，两个花同样时间完成同样任务的人，一个聪明但懒惰，一个不聪明却勤劳，两个都一样努力吗？花的时间长不代表用尽所有精力，精力的极限也只有自己知道。所以，我建议老师们老板们长辈们朋友们，不要用“努力”来赞美他人，因为这样的形容既没意思，也不一定是好事（还记得之前的问题吗？不聪明的人是比较努力的。）

“努力”除了是一个当局者词，也是一个良心词，要诚实地凭良心使用。失败的时候，在说“我已经努力了”之前，别忘了好好反省一下，自己是否已真的用尽了全部的力量。

旁观者词就是比较适合他人用于自己的词汇。其中一个最好的例子是“有才华”。当局者可以说自己有天赋，但如果自称有才华的话，除了很不要脸，也不恰当。任何一种天赋或能力，不管是绘画或是数学或是演技，在没有人欣赏的情况下，不算是才华。欣赏是发自于旁观者内心对于当局者的一种敬仰于爱戴，所以只有旁观者才能准确地说，“Z的歌词感动了我，他有作词方面的才华。”

同样地，无法取得成功的人不能以“怀才不遇”来美化自己的失败；只有旁观者可以用“怀才不遇”来怜惜无法得到广泛认可的人才。

一个比较麻烦的词汇是“忙碌”。一个人真的很忙的时候，照理说他应该没有时间去思考他有多忙碌，也就不可能有时间到处告诉别人他很忙。所以，“忙碌”应该是旁观者词。但，旁观者通常不能完全知道当局者有多少事情要同时进行，所以“忙碌”也可以是当局者用来形容自己近况的良心词。不过，真正忙碌的人只会在被问及的情况下才说自己很忙。总结以上分析，“忙碌”是一个被动的当局者良心词。

凌晨3点，睡不着，胡思乱想掰了一篇瞎论文。纸上谈兵，说说而已。以后如果你发现我用词不当，请不要用这篇文章来批评我。

am so thankful that the image F&N had in mind for me in this campaign is close to my personal style: simple, clean, natural.
